Celtic Heritage

I attended a Celtic festival in Hartford, CT called Pipes in the Valley. To me, nothing say "Celt" more than a butt load of knives, swords, axes and balls and chain.

Android 1.6, aka "Donut"

Official Google video of features in Android 1.6, which should be released "real soon now", as they say in the tech biz. This release is named "Donut", a follow-up to "Cupcake". I think they are in a competition with Ubuntu for silly project names.

The Dog that Didn't Bark

I snapped the above picture in Memorial Plaza located within the Coalition Compound of my home away from home here in "Southwest Asia". As you can see there are several flag poles that proudly display the flags of the USA, Qatar, Australia, Canada, France, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

What's missing?

Doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my side door

Some months ago my brother posted a picture on his blog entitled Doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my back door... it was, of course, a view outside his home during an early March snowstorm.

I'm currently doing a short sentence at Al Ud..., er, "an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia". What's that I see out my side door?

Ahh, a bunker. It's just like old times! A little poking around the bunker reveals some of the native fauna, and...
