A greeting card for Yankees Fans

I simply couldn't resist stealing this from Center Field... It's against my nature to rub someone's nose in it, however I can't resist a cheap shot to Yankees fans... (Knowing they'd take their turns in spades given half a chance).

How the Hebrews found the Promised Land:

... and missed the oil.

Not exactly how I visualized it.

99th post

I was going to save this for my 100th post, but I just can't wait any longer to inform the world about my dinosaur fighting skills:

I could survive for 1 minute, 6 seconds chained to a bunk bed with a velociraptor

Best Baseball Play ever

I'm a congenital Red Sox fax, but I'm also a baseball fan. I do remember this play... It was on the news... It was early in the `76 season, and as a nine year old I did not realize that the `75 series would be a high water mark for years to come... but I digress.

One flag, two creeps, and a hero:

While on the subject of baseball and heroes... Nolan Ryan. A legend and a real man. In 1993 Robin Ventura was starting his 5th year in the majors. Ryan was ending his career, after 26 years (plus a few innings in 1966)... Ryan hits Ventura, and young Robin thinks he can rush the mound.

Ryan owned Ventura:

And I just realized after all of these years... Ryan used his pitching hand. It's a wonder Ventura survived.

From Exurban League...

...another great campaign graphic that, um, graphically illustrates the campaign...

Palinmania Returns

From Six Meat Buffet....

Visit their store, where you can order this baby:

McCain pulls a Crazy Ivan

Johnny Mac "suspends" campaigning to return to the Senate in order to work on an "Aid to Dependent Fat Cat Investment Bankers" bill. I think they're actually going to add a new title to the Social Security Act to cover this one...

Master stroke, or mark of desperation? At first blush, I think it's a mistake. Perhaps he's setting BO up to debate an empty chair?

If BO doesn't "join" him in Washington, I think McCain should go to the floor of the Senate, and ask where his "friend from Illinois is" and "his dear old friend from Delaware" is... Then he should re-introduce the bills Bush sent to Congress in 2001, 2003 and his own 2005 legislation. And get Reid and the rest of them on the record - and on CSPAN.
